33-year-old Aleksey Urbanovich (pictured), a mobilized soldier from the occupied city of Snezhnoye in Donetsk Oblast (in so called “Donetsk people’s republic”) escaped from his unit to Kaluga Oblast in Russia. There he was detained for violent acts of a sexual nature (paragraph “b”, Part 4 of Article 132), sources told ASTRA. 



According to investigators, Urbanovich left his military unit 34476 in the fall of 2023 and moved to the village of Polotnyany Zavod in Kaluga Oblast. There, according to investigators, he attacked and repeatedly committed violent acts of sexual nature against a 13-year-old girl with special needs – the child is registered with a diagnosis of “mental retardation” (this diagnosis is still used in Russia).
