Omsk resident Mikhail Petrov, who was accused of “justifying terrorism” for his comment about the drone attack on the Kremlin on May 3, 2023, has been added to the register of terrorists and extremists.
“Glory to Ukraine. Work, brothers. Putin has probably already prepared fifteen suitcases for feces there))”, Petrov wrote in a public group on VK. In his comment, he refers to the story about Federal Protective Service officers who, as the media claimed, collect feces after Putin in order to hide information about his illnesses from enemy intelligence.

At the time of publication of the comment, Petrov was 17 years old. A criminal case against him was opened for “justifying terrorism” (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He faced up to 7 years in prison, but, according to ASTRA’s source, the young man managed to avoid imprisonment.
Inclusion in the register of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring leads to a partial loss of rights: for example, “terrorists” have their bank accounts blocked and are allowed to spend no more than 10 thousand rubles a month [about 115 US dollars] on “ensuring their livelihoods.” At the time of publication of the news, there are already more than 15,000 people in this register.
