For the second day, relatives are overloading the 112 rescue service line to find out about the evacuation of residents of the Kursk region who are not in touch. However, the 112 service does not work, or works intermittently, according to numerous complaints and a video recorded by one of the relatives.

In the footage, a woman is trying to contact the 112 service and find out about the evacuation of parents who are in the shelled part of the Kursk region. The 112 service constantly puts it into standby mode and then resets it. When the woman began to ask the operator why this was happening, she was answered:
— We can’t wait that long.
— So I can sit and wait for 8 minutes, but you can’t? I have parents there in the Kursk region, Sudzha is f*cked over there. There is no evacuation. And you can’t wait?! Connect me to the Kursk region!
Nevertheless, the woman was put back into response waiting mode. There had been no contact with relatives at the time of recording the video for more than five hours.
— Then why does this service exist if it doesn’t work? – asks the woman in the video. — “During evacuation, call 112.” I’m calling. So what?
In local chat rooms, residents write that they can’t get in touch with the 112 service either. “Why is no one helping people?” one of the comments says.
ASTRA got through yesterday to the resident of Sudzha A., who left the city on August 6 against the background of shelling, without waiting for evacuation. “This is a complete mess, there was no evacuation, everyone was lying. People drove themselves. We left expecting to return the next day, because no one had warned us about anything. Only took my underpants. Everything is abandoned. There is nothing. Nobody says anything. We meet Sudzha people on the streets of Kursk, and everyone is shocked because the administration has not warned anyone about anything. Nothing has been prepared,” said A. to ASTRA.
According to Z-channels on the morning of August 8, fighting is already underway in the region for Korenevo (30 km from the border with Ukraine). About 5 thousand people live in Korenevo. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian public is writing about 300 captured Russian soldiers.
