Relatives of 34 missing soldiers of the 25th brigade of military unit No. 29760 recorded an hour-long video (the full video and the list of missing persons are available to ASTRA) with an appeal to Vladimir Putin and Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, asking them to sort out, among other things, the brigade commanders: Alexei Ksenofontov (call sign “Tigr”) and Andrei Saratyuk (call sign “Oryol”).
Both commanders were already heroes of ASTRA publications — Colonel Ksenofontov while drunk sent dozens of men into a deadly assault. Vladimir Solovyov responded to the post and stated that this was a lie, and the Ukrainian CIPSO, through ASTRA, allegedly planted fake materials in order to “distract our brilliant commanders from the work of destroying the Nazi vermin.” Note that in 2021, Ksenofontov was already convicted of beating a military man, because he couldn’t start the stove.
In a new appeal wives, mothers, and sisters tell that military unit No. 29760 does not give details about the disappearance of their relatives, does not pay salaries, and does not pay attention to the medical indications of the mobilized.
Oksana Volkova, the mother of 28-year-old mobilized Yevgraf Volkov, said in an appeal that her son was injured in 2023, but he was not assigned to the military medical commission, and on October 11 of the same year, they “quietly” took him to an unknown destination, took away his phone and sent him to Markovka. Since November 1, 2023, the son has been missing.
“I ask you to restore order in this military unit, as the 25th brigade is called the “organized criminal group of the 90s” and the “Death Brigade.” The commanders — “Tigr” (Ksenofontov), “Oryol” — create impunity. They kill our children, they demand money from them, arbitrariness is happening there,” said Volkova.
She said that on November 2, a Telegram message was sent to Volkova’s daughter-in-law’s phone with a photo of Yevgraf Volkov’s document and a statement that he was in Ukrainian captivity.
Yulia Cherevatenko, a resident of the Ivanovo region, is looking for her 39-year-old husband Oleg Cherevatenko, who disappeared during military exercises near occupied Luhansk on September 21, 2024.
“In September, he received a salary and a daily allowance, in October he received only a salary of 17,000 rubles, in November a salary of 17,000 rubles and financial assistance. The commander of the unit where he serves does not provide me with any information. On December 8, 2024, he was listed as missing, and the notification indicated the settlement of Petropavlovsk. I write down this call myself and no one forces me. I appeal to our president with a cry for help. Please help me find my husband,” Cherevatenko’s wife said.
Svetlana Kuznetsova is looking for Dmitry Yekimovsky’s 26-year-old brother. On January 9, 2024, he signed a contract in Vologda, and 6 days later, on January 15, 2024, made his last call from Kursk. After a year of searching, she was only able to find the unofficial date of her brother’s disappearance — January 30, 2024, and only “unsubscriptions” were sent to her from the military unit.
“I would really like to ask the commanders of our 25th brigade, namely Alexey Ksenofontov, call sign “Tigr” and Andrey Saratyuk, call sign “Oryol”: where are all our fighters? From December 2023 to April 2024, it’s just like the Bermuda Triangle — everyone leaves and disappears into the unknown. Can someone stop the endless string of missing fighters in this death brigade? Our men went to defend our homeland, but what do we get: mothers, wives, sisters? Just the words “Wait” on the hotline of our military unit? And what exactly can we expect when thousands of our fighters disappear under the leadership of such commanders?” says Svetlana Kuznetsova.
There was also a video recorded from a bus with sick soldiers of the 25th brigade, whom officers allegedly take away for combat missions.
