They tried to declare the man insane

Human rights defender Maxim Davydov, who defends those mobilized in Donetsk, was released five days after his arrest on February 4, contacted ASTRA and informed him that he had been detained again.
“I was released and the officers of OP 2 (Police Department No. 2) detained me again right under the IVS (Temporary Detention Facility). Now everything is starting anew,” said the human rights activist.
According to him, he was sent to the police department for “identification.” FSB officers also arrived there, one of whom had already abducted Davydov on April 10, 2025, the human rights activist said.
It follows from court documents reviewed by ASTRA that Davydov’s detention period was initially extended until February 9. He is charged with Part 5 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (using a deliberately forged document). The case file also says that the security forces tried to send Davydov for psychiatric examination, as he introduced himself as a people’s deputy of the Supreme Council of the “DPR” and uses a Soviet passport as an identity card.
However, the man was found sane.
