On the night of March 4, Russian air defense forces shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Defense Ministry in the Rostov region. It fell on the barn of a local farmer in the Dudki farm in the Miller district, ASTRA found out. The helicopter caught fire after the crash, and the barn burned down. This was reported to ASTRA by local residents and confirmed by sources in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

ASTRA got through to the farmer whose barn the helicopter had crashed on, he said that “everything is fine with him,” hung up and declined further comment. 3 helicopter crew members died on the spot. Civilians were not injured, ASTRA sources in the Russian Emergencies Ministry added.
Dudki farm is located a few kilometers (about 2.5 km) from the military airfield “Millerovo”.
