28-year-old conscript Emil Zhenishbekov from Krasnoyarsk, who had previously claimed to have his signature under the contract forged, is being sent to war, despite his refusal of contract service and ongoing legal disputes.

On April 9, he told ASTRA that he had been taken out of the unit last night under the pretext of going to Abakan, after he refused to go to war and demanded to summon the military prosecutor’s office. But in the end, he was taken to a landfill in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region. “I just arrived, so far they haven’t even assigned me to the unit,” he said. He will have a week of “training” in Chebarkul, after which they plan to send him to the assault.
According to him, he is ready for a prison term for refusing to fight, but:
“I approached the company commander and said that I was giving up fake contract service. I thought they would call an investigator and put him in jail. And they sent me here.”
Earlier, ASTRA wrote that Zhenishbekov was called up for military service in April 2025 and sent to unit 98552 in Abakan. A week after arriving, the platoon commander suggested that those with a driver’s license switch to the driver’s position. Zhenishbekov agreed, after which he was taken to the headquarters and forced to write a report — as he believed, for transfer. A month later, he learned from one of the officers that he was registered as a contract soldier, although, according to him, he had not signed any contracts.
An independent handwriting examination confirmed that the signature did not belong to Zhenishbekov. Despite this, the Abakan garrison military Court recognized the contract as authentic, refusing to take into account the results of the examination and referring to the testimony of the commanders who claimed to have personally seen the signing. Relatives of the conscript filed an application for falsification.
Zhenishbekov also claimed threats from the command: he was told that if he refused to recognize the contract, they could “make it so that no one would remember him,” and they also threatened to jail and send him to storm.
He was in a hospital in Yekaterinburg with pneumonia, which temporarily delayed his deployment to the front. On April 8, his term of service was supposed to end, but instead of demobilization, he was tricked into going to a training ground.
According to Zhenishbekov, his colleagues who signed the contract, instead of serving in UAV units, also began to train as attack aircraft.
