On the night of July 27, residents of the Rostov region reported explosions and fires. Among other things, it was reported about the attack on the Rostov commercial seaport.

ASTRA’s analysis of eyewitness footage confirms that smoke was detected over the port after the attack in the area of the fourth cargo area.

Also, as a result of the attack, a multi-storey building was damaged at 117 Beregovaya Street, which is located 5 kilometers from the local port.

Rostov Commercial Sea Port (Rostov Port JSC), according to the company itself, is a universal transshipment complex.

The port is maritime, despite its location on the Don River, as it is part of the Azov-Black Sea Basin system and serves international shipping. The port accepts vessels flying foreign flags, carries out the opening and closing of the state border for international vessels. Flights to the countries of the Black Sea and Mediterranean basins are operated from the port.

Rostov Port JSC has four cargo areas: Beregovaya St., 30; Levoberezhnaya 17 (Aksai district); Shosseynaya St., 49A; 1st Lugovaya St., 42A.

An emergency regime has been introduced in Rostov within the boundaries of damaged houses. Residents were evacuated from apartment buildings, 56 people were placed in temporary accommodation. Three apartment buildings and 17 private houses, a social institution, five cars, a cafe and warehouses were damaged. Fire in a warehouse of 400 sq. m. m is completely eliminated.

5 people were killed, 8 more were injured, the authorities said.

In Taganrog, according to the governor, UAV debris partially damaged a production facility. There were no casualties or fire.

According to Vladimir Zelensky, an “export terminal” was hit in the Rostov region.
