A conscript in Boguchar was forced to sign a contract so that he could attend his own mother’s funeral. Despite an appeal to the prosecutor’s office regarding the illegality of the contract, the soldier is being prepared for deployment to the front.
A 21‑year‑old conscript in military unit 91726 in Boguchar, Voronezh Oblast, a native of the Saratov Region, Vladislav Kuznetsov, signed the contract three months before his demobilization under psychological pressure. He was deceived, told that this way he would be able to attend his own mother’s funeral more quickly. Vladislav’s father told ASTRA about this.
“He was drafted in the Saratov region on November 13, 2025. He had three months left until his demobilization. On July 25, he was forced to sign a contract. That day, his mother died. We called the unit. They told us he was on duty. We asked them to find him and inform him about his mother. They demanded a document confirming the death. We sent them a death certificate. Lieutenant Vdovin found his son.” He took him off duty and said that his mother had died. He’s all in tears, sobbing. And they’re using that to get him to sign the contract — they say that in order to get to his mother’s funeral quickly and go home sooner, he needs to sign the contract. He was emotionally destroyed, and he still is… He signed it in the heat of the moment. He was forced to sign the contract under false pretenses on the same day, half an hour after he heard the news about his mother’s death. They deceived him!” the conscript’s father said.
The family contacted the military prosecutor’s office, but there was no response.
“We contacted the Voronezh and Russian prosecutor’s offices on August 4 and 5. The appeal was collective, together with the relatives of other conscripts who, for inexplicable reasons, suddenly signed contracts. Yesterday, we asked our son what actions were taken after the appeals. But they simply forwarded the appeal to the army, and that was it. There was no response from the Voronezh prosecutor’s office. The only response came from Moscow, stating that the appeal had been received,” the father clarified.
Currently, Vladislav Kuznetsov has been sent to the training ground.
