Vladimir Frolov, illegally mobilized guitar teacher from the Donetsk People’s Republic killed

Vladimir Frolov, a 29-year-old guitar teacher and a disabled person, died on April 15 during the storming of Krasnogorovka in the Donetsk region, according to a death certificate received by his relatives.

“They killed Vova [Vladimir], got rid of him. We only found out three hours ago. They left him there to die, today they just got him back. He will be buried in a closed coffin,” Vladimir’s relatives told ASTRA.

On April 12, Vasily Lugovoy, deputy commander of the 3rd Motorized Rifle battalion of military unit 41698, received a referral for a second medical examination for Vladimir, which was sought by him and his family. Instead of sending Frolov to Rostov-on-Don for treatment, the commander sent him to the frontline. On April 15, the deputy commander informed the man’s relatives that he had gone missing.

“He was being held in a pit, then in a basement. After they found out that he needed treatment, they immediately threw him into an assault, and then killed him — they sent him straight to his death, he was dying slowly… Our own are worse than others,” the family said.

As told by ASTRA, in February 2022 Frolov was illegally mobilized, taken straight from music school. According to relatives, the man did not sign the contract, did not take the oath, and was not given a military ID. As his relatives told ASTRA, in February Vladimir was held in the military base 41698 3 MRB, where he was “bullied and forced to sign a contract.” We are talking about the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade named after Alexander Zakharchenko, which was formed on the basis of the “Oplot” battalion.
