According to ASTRA sources in the emergency services of the Belgorod region, on October 10, a FAB-500 was found in the Shebekinsky urban district, a few kilometers from the village of Neklyudovo. There are no injuries or casualties.
According to ASTRA estimates, this is at least 128 aerial bomb that fell on Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine from March to October this year.
To counter the Ukrainian air defense, the Russian army began to equip Soviet air bombs with FAB complexes. After such an update, wings and satellite guidance appear on the fabs, allowing them to launch bombs directly from the territory of the Russian Federation. Confirmations were previously published confirming the use of the winged FAB-3000 in Ukraine. The numbers in the name of such bombs indicate the total weight of the product.
The Russian army began to actively use the UMPK in the spring of this year. And the problem of updated fabs was immediately revealed — often bombs simply do not reach Ukraine. According to ASTRA estimates, from March to September, Russian aircraft dropped at least 128 bombs on Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine. Most often, FAB-250 and FAB-500 fall. Usually, they do not explode during a freelance gathering — bombs are destroyed by explosives experts after the fact.
In early July, the FAB-3000 for the first time fell from a Russian plane to the Belgorod region. The bomb exploded in a field near Shebekino. Since the bomb fell in a field, casualties and injuries were avoided. On May 4, a Russian plane dropped a FAB-500 on Belgorod, as a result, 7 people were injured, 31 households and 10 cars were damaged. The authorities hid the reason for the fall of the bomb, as well as the fact that it was Russian.
