In addition to the 67th GRAU arsenal, the local “VEZA” ventilation plant was attacked, – ASTRA sources. The Russian Ministry of Defense earlier reported that “there was no damage.”
As ASTRA found out, in Karachev and adjacent settlements, after the night attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, local residents continue summurise damage: many windows in houses were broken, some houses themselves were damaged. For example, in Karachev, 2 residential buildings partially burned down on Kucherova Street, a drone broke through the roof of a private apartment building on Fabrichnaya Street, and a UAV damaged not only the house of local residents, but also their shed and garage on Uritsky Street, ASTRA found out. Houses were also damaged in the village of Podsosonki, the village of Trykovka and the village of Baykova. Drones fell at the “VEZA” enterprise in Karachev itself. The company is engaged in the development, manufacturing and sales of ventilation and climate control equipment. The plant itself wasn’t damaged.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that in addition to drones, the Bryansk region was attacked with missiles. Air defense systems shot down five ATACMS missiles over the Bryansk region. One was damaged.
Monitoring channels warned local residents about the missile danger in the Bryansk region on the night of November 18-19. A siren and public notification were working in the region.
Residents of the city of Karachev, Bryansk region, were reporting continuously about explosions, detonation and an attack on a “military base” in local chats and public sites all night, several videos from the Karachevsky district also appeared, in which detonation is heard and a glow is visible, ASTRA drew attention. The 67th GRAU Arsenal is located in Karachev (m/u 55443). Earlier, according to unconfirmed reports, this arsenal was attacked on October 8th. Also, according to data confirmed by ASTRA, the same arsenal was already attacked at least twice: on June 28, 2024 and in October 2023.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that Ukraine for the first time struck with long-range American ATACMS missiles at an object inside Russia, the arsenal in Karachev, Bryansk region. The editor-in-chief of the Censor.net Yuri Butusov wrote about it, as well as RBC-Ukraine with reference to their sources. The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a hit on the arsenal in the Bryansk region, however, they did not specify what exactly the blows were inflicted with.
