After the assassination attempt and regaining consciousness, Alexander Barlet told ASTRA that due to an incorrect diagnosis in hospital No. 6 in Donetsk, he lost a kidney after bullet wounds — doctors could not detect organ damage.
The man was admitted to hospital No. 6 (Shlakovaya) in extremely grave condition, according to the medical report. At the same time, doctors could not bring down his temperature — it shifted from 38 to 40 degrees, and the nurses did not monitor his condition, so the parents and wife of the victim had to drain the accumulated liquid through the tubes.
Barlet’s diagnosis: Thoracoabdominal injury. Gunshot blind penetrating wound to the right lumbar region. Penetrating wound of the abdominal cavity. Hemoperitoneum. Injury to the pyelourethral part of the right ureter. Through wound of the duodenum. A through wound
to the right lobe of the liver. Injury to the diaphragm. Pneumohemothorax.
Now the man is in the Republican Clinical Hospital named after Kalinin, where he underwent surgery to remove his kidney. He doesn’t complain about the doctors’ actions here.
The father of four children, 30-year-old Alexander Barlet, who was illegally mobilized (after voluntary service) in Donetsk and went through a torture cellar, was shot by unknown masked men on December 30 in Donetsk.
Barlet signed a contract in 2019 and officially served until 2020 in military unit 42600 (former 08826) of the 116th Regiment. However, after the expiration of the contract, he remained in the military and in this status he met the beginning of the “SMO”. On March 23, 2023, he fought in Vesely near Avdiivka, received a concussion. His wife Nadezhda gave birth to their fourth child, so on March 28, Barlet went on an unofficial “vacation”, which ended with his abduction on May 24.
He was taken to the sixth commandant’s office in Donetsk at 138 Ivan Tkachenko St. There he was put in the basement, where there were eight other people accused of abandoning the unit, although the cell was intended for six. Barlet spent about a week here — he was fed dry rations, he went to the toilet in a bottle, and in the afternoon the officers took him to work. After a week in the basement, he was handed over to representatives of 116th unit, which he knows nothing about. These people told him on the way that he was being taken to sign a contract, but the young man asked him to stop by his parents’ house to pick up his things. After going to the bathroom, he managed to escape.
After his escape, people in uniform came to his relatives, and unknown people in his military unit received salaries for him.
