Drone attacked the roof of one of the workshops of the Smolensk Aviation Plant tonight. As a result, fire broke out, but the plant did not stop working, ASTRA sources in the emergency services of the region told.
In addition, another drone crashed into a multi-storey building in the Leninsky district and provoked a fire. 300 people were evacuated.
Wreckages of drones were found on the territory of the inactive military unit 21555 in the Zadneprovsky district, a restaurant, a television tower and private houses. Windows were blown out in at least 4 more apartment buildings.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the aircraft plant. The company is included in the sanctions lists of the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Japan, Switzerland and EU countries, as it is alleged that it produces Kh-59 missiles, which were used by the Russian Armed Forces during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
