The soldier’s mother told how he was abducted by the Gorlovka military and sent by suicide bomber to storm.
On December 23, 2024, Artem Burmushev, a serviceman of the 132nd Gorlovka brigade, a separate assault company “V” (military unit 52892), called his mother and asked her for money for groceries. That day, he was going out with a colleague from Dzerzhinsk to Gorlovka. That was the last time Burmushev contacted his mother, she told ASTRA. On the same day, they were abducted by officers of the 3rd Motorized Rifle battalion (MRB) of the same 132nd brigade in Gorlovka.
According to Burmushev’s mother, Tatiana, military with call signs “Horse” and “Nightmare” put bags over Artyom and his comrade’s heads, handcuffed them and brought them to the detention center. They took their phones away from them so that they couldn’t contact anyone, and they were held there for 5 days. After that, on December 28, Deputy Political Officer Ramil Ismailov rewrote their data and, without informing their immediate command, sent them to storm the Toretsk area.
“Ramil, the deputy political officer of the 3rd mrb, handcuffs my son, hangs two anti-tank mines on his bulletproof vest: one in front, the other in the back, wraps it with duct tape and sends it to the assault without a machine gun, where he is led by a copter, in case anything happens, in order to detonate and conceal what happened,” Tatiana said in a statement to the military prosecutor’s office, with which was reviewed by ASTRA.
Burmushev was on the front line at least until January 12. That day, he “entered a five-story building, and it collapsed.”
The military mother learned about all this from her son’s colleague, who was able to escape.
According to Tatiana, since December 30, her son has been listed as having “voluntarily left the unit.” At the same time, Ismailov, who sent her son to the front line, according to the woman, refused to tell her anything because he was not officially his subordinate. Burmushev’s immediate commander, Dmitry, with the call sign “Anthracite,” refuses to provide any documents or disclose his status. Another, “Deputy,” told Tatiana that her son had died.
“I believe that my son was killed, and Ramil, the deputy political officer of 3 mrb, decided to destroy him in this way so that the whole truth would not be revealed,” Tatiana said in a statement to the prosecutor’s office.
The woman demands to punish all those responsible for the abduction, illegal detention and possible murder of her son, as well as to remove from him the status of “arbitrarily leaving the unit.”
