“Our soldier is fighting off a drone with a crutch”

Videos from the front line have appeared on the web, in which, allegedly, Russian servicemen are storming while on crutches or fighting off drones with them.

“Another video from the other side, which shows how our fighter fights off the drone with a crutch. We hope he survived and everything is fine with him, however, what exactly is a serviceman doing on the front line in such a state? Let’s repeat, this should not be the case,” wrote the Donbass Case telegram channel, posting a video that allegedly shows a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces fighting off an attacking drone with a crutch.

Another video allegedly featuring Russian soldiers is published by Ukrainian journalist Yuri Butusov. In the footage, one soldier walks on crutches, the other crawls: “The Walking dead: a new crippling assault on the Pokrovsky front, they were not even given donkeys. <…>The video is from a Ukrainian serviceman,” Butusov wrote.

Last week, a video also appeared online showing men on crutches forcibly pushed into military trucks by military police officers in a military unit of the 503rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (military unit 75394) at the Kadamovsky training ground in the Rostov region.

“It’s f*cked up, of course. Look at how the guys are leaving for the war, the fuckers who shouldn’t be going. Military police is pushing them into the KAMAZ. Now, another man with crutches is being cripples. It’s just unbearable, beyond words,” says the cameraman in the video. The location of the shooting was geolocated by the Mediazone publication.

Last week, ASTRA posted a video with military personnel of the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade named after A. Zakharchenko of the military unit 41698 of the “DPR” — wounded soldiers and soldiers on crutches are going to be sent into battle. Earlier, ASTRA said how a wandering resident of the Krasnodar Region was sent to storm, put in a pit and held in a torture cellar near Donetsk. Before that, “Astra” published a video in which the military, without a finger and with an open wound in his leg, was forcibly taken away from the hospital in Yeysk on crutches and pushed into an ambulance.

ASTRA also found out how the camp was organized in Kuzbass for wounded and desertng military personnel who are being sent back to Ukraine. There, the military police beat the perpetrators, handcuffing them. This is already the 23rd place for the retention of the Russian military, which ASTRA has found. 20 of them are in the occupied territories of Ukraine, 2 are in the Russian Federation.
