“War veteran” walked around Orsk with a gun starting fights with passers-by

In Orsk, on March 7, a man in camouflage and with a gun was caught on surveillance cameras in the entrance of Kutuzov Street, 37. In the footage, he enters the entrance, as if practicing an “assault” on the premises. Residents of the house report that this camera is currently damaged.

The same man, according to local publications, managed to provoke a fight in public transport. Later, footage appeared of the same man walking around in a camouflage suit in the area of the bus stop on Lenin Avenue. In his hands was an object resembling an air rifle.

ASTRA managed to identify the man with the help of his friend and neighbors. According to preliminary data, this is a previously convicted Russian serviceman, 33-year-old Vladimir Gvozdev. According to an acquaintance, Vladimir served in Wagner, and then signed a contract with the Russian Armed Forces. In 2025, after being injured, he was treated in one of the institutions of Udmurtia.

ASTRA was also able to contact a woman living next door to the soldier.

“This is my neighbor, yes. He was here, the police were there, several police crews arrived, traffic cops, ambulance, Ministry of Emergency Situations, all flew in, held him for three days and released him. I don’t understand why he is not in psychiatric clinic yet. He gets very violent when he drinks. And such actions are enough, you know, to offend someone. He once had a conflict with the police. They were supposed to put him in jail, but he went to war, was injured there, was sent to the hospital, he was on the train, drank there, smoked something, got off the train, called a taxi for 30 thousand rubles, came here to Orsk, drinks and runs, although he should be in the hospital. In fact, he’s a deserter, he ran away from the war. Now he is making false statements: that he is left-handed, that he has a wound in his left arm,” a woman told ASTRA on condition of anonymity.

“Most likely, he drank too much and gone mad,” a friend of the serviceman told ASTRA.

Gvozdev’s social media account says that he is a soldier of the 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment.

ASTRA managed to find a court decision from the Leninsky District Court of Orsk dated February 5, 2024. According to the documentation, Vladimir Gvozdev, a resident of Orsk, received an administrative arrest for two days for swearing and breaking bottles in a public place. Also, “Gvozdev V.G.” was recognized in 2010 guilty of “secret theft of other people’s property causing significant damage”.
