The bodies of 75-year-old Vladimir Ryazanov and his wife, 64-year-old Zifa Ryazanova, were discovered on the third day after the murder in their apartment in the village of Mesyagutovo (Bashkortostan) in early June this year.

According to ASTRA, the police were called by a relative of an elderly couple when he could not get into the apartment. When security forces arrived, they found the bodies of the couple with stab wounds to their backs and necks, and an apartment turned upside down.

The car of the deceased was found some time later in a ditch near a village in another region — in the Perm Region.

The grandson of the murdered, 20-year-old Denis Khusainov, is being sought on suspicion of the murder of the Ryazanovs. According to ASTRA, he participates in the war with Ukraine, serves in military unit 73795.

Khusainov had been on vacation since May 11 and lived with his grandparents. The reason for the murder is not known yet.

Vladimir Ryazanov is a former paratrooper. In 2022, the administration of the Duvan district awarded him a Certificate of Honor “for hard service, for honest performance of military duty.”
