Polina, wife of Tyumen blogger Anton Nesgovorov, known on social media as “Tyumerika,” appealed to Putin to pardon her husband, who is in jail for “justifying terrorism” because of a three-year-old post:
“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I am the wife of the Tyumen blogger and journalist Anton Nesgovorov, who is currently in jail for his opinion three years ago. I know that since the beginning of my career, many people have said stupid things because of stress. But in 2018, my husband voted for you. And I voted for you in 2024. Anton is a patriot of Russia. It is difficult to find a person who is a more ardent opponent of terrorism than he is. I’m carrying his baby. And we plan to create a large state-forming family. I ask you to have mercy on our young family, have mercy on my husband,” Anton Nesgovorov’s wife Polina said in the video, which she sent to ASTRA.
According to her, Anton “really asked” his wife to record an appeal to Putin for his pardon. Nesgovorov’s lawyer also supported this, the girl added.
On August 19, Polina, who is four months pregnant, reported ASTRA that Anton Nesgovorov and she got married right in the pre-trial detention center, where the registry office staff arrived.
