On the evening of August 26, drones, in addition to the center of Rostov, also attacked The Pervomaisky district of the city, ASTRA found out. According to sources in the emergency services of the region, in the Chkalovsky microdistrict, one UAV crashed into the territory of the private Granite defense plant, a fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished. Windows were broken in one of the buildings in the factory. Other consequences are unknown. There are no casualties.

In the early morning of August 27, local residents also reported in local chats that the territory of the Granit was cordoned off, blocked for passage and transport. Residents of Rostov also reported smoke and explosions in the area of the Autumn Park, next to which the plant is located, on Wednesday night.
PJSC Granit is a private defense plant located in Rostov-on-Don. According to open data, the company is engaged in the production of electronic vacuum tubes and other vacuum devices. The plant’s products are used in aviation and in the manufacture of air defense systems.
In May 2024, the local press wrote that “the investor postponed the registration of the technopark based on the Granit defense plant in Rostov, in which he planned to invest 1.5 billion rubles.” It was reported that the implementation of plans to create a technopark was postponed indefinitely due to the “production workload of the enterprise.”
