This was announced by the head of the Defense Council of Krivoy Rog Alexander Vilkul and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

According to preliminary data, at the time of the Russian strike on the night of July 30, seven children were in the house: 17-year-old Mark, 15-year-old Dominika, 14-year-old Viorica, 12-year-old Zachariah, 11-year-old Azari Ilai, 10-year-old Federica and six-year-old Emilia. There was also the one-and-a-half-year-old grandson of Artyom Voronov, the son of the eldest child of the family, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the rank of captain. The eldest daughter of the family and another son are abroad.
The missile strike was so strong that almost nothing remained of the house, the Ukrainian president said. It is now known about the deaths of parents and three children: Mark, Azariah Eli and Emilia. Rescuers found fragments of bodies under the rubble, their identities are still being established. Information about the fate of the other children is being clarified. Local public figures note that the family’s dog was rescued from the rubble.
It is believed that the strike on the area of Krivoy Rog could have been carried out by a North Korean ballistic missile. According to one of the agency’s interlocutors, if this information is confirmed, this will be Russia’s first use of a North Korean missile in a war in almost a year. The last time its use was recorded was on August 8, 2025.
A day of mourning for the dead has been declared in Krivoy Rog on July 31.
