On September 17, 2025, in the occupied village of Kazachye Camps in the Kherson region, Russian military shot local residents, 62-year-old Viktor Gladkiy, his wife, 64-year-old Olga Gladkaya, and their neighbor Viktor Nadeev.

This was reported to ASTRA by the relatives of the Gladkys who are outside occupied territories, as well as a number of Ukrainian sources. According to Yulia Gladkikh’s daughter-in-law, that evening, pensioners Viktor and Olga tried to intercede for their neighbor across the street, Viktor Nadeev. The Russian military had a bone to pick with the man: the visit ended with a shot in his leg, after which the Gladkiye took the wounded man to their home.
Yulia claims that after a while the soldiers returned, but already at home to Viktor and Olga. They accused Nadeev of having connections with SBU, and the couple of harboring a “traitor.” In the end, they shot all three of them. The military was drunk at the time, she says.
“They were lying dead in the house for twenty-four hours, nobody was allowed to approach them. Everyone heard the shots, but no one ran to help. You see, my husband’s parents were killed for nothing. He’s been crying for two days, and these bitches are still alive. It’s a shame that parents always came to the aid of others: the house is on fire — father runs to help put out, the neighbor has problems — they came to the rescue. If they were like the others, they would have hidden under the bed and were still alive. His parents didn’t even have time to see his grandchildren, they were born during the occupation abroad,” Yulia said.
She added that she did not know if the servicemen who had committed the murder had been detained.
The deaths of the Gladkiye couple and their neighbor, Nadeev, were also reported in a local Russian chat, however, without details.
