This is the first known attack on the Orsk oil refinery.
The geolocation of the ASTRA frames from Orsk confirms that the drones hit the Orsknefteorgsintez plant. Based on the available personnel, it can be said that the strike hit the northeastern part of the plant.




PJSC Orsknefteorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, located in the city of Orsk, Orenburg region. It is part of the ForteInvest holding, owned by Mikhail Gutseriev’s Safmar Group.
The plant was commissioned in 1935 and processes oil mainly from West Siberian fields. The refining capacity is about 6 million tons of oil per year. The company produces a wide range of products: gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, aviation kerosene and other petroleum products.
The Orsk Refinery plays an important role in the supply of petroleum products from the Urals and the Volga region, some of the products are exported.
Earlier, ASTRA reported about the UAV attack on the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in Orsk, Orenburg region.
The Governor of the Orenburg region Evgeny Solntsev confirmed an attack on an “industrial facility” in the region, but did not disclose the name of the enterprise.
