Aishat Baymuradova left Chechnya and went to Armenia with the help of a human rights organization that provides assistance to women from the North Caucasus. This was reported to ASTRA by Hasmik Novikova, a sociologist at the Public Verdict Human Rights Foundation.

Baymuradova did not return from a walk in Yerevan on October 15, according to her friends, with whom the girl rents an apartment. Then Aishat went to a meeting with a friend from Instagram. Later it turned out that among the subscribers of this friend there are people from Kadyrov’s entourage — their names are not called.

“All these facts, as well as the fact that Aishat’s phone has not been answered for a long time, suggest that she could have been a victim of forced return,” human rights activists report.

They noted that similar cases had already occurred in Europe, Georgia and the regions of Russia. A police report has been filed.
