Residents of the Krasnaya Gorka village Council of the Volodarsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region appealed to the governor of the region Gleb Nikitin with a video message asking for assistance in connecting fiber-optic Internet to their villages. According to them, providers refuse to provide the service, even though the fiber-optic line passes through their territory.
The village Council of Krasnaya Gorka includes settlements Okhlopkovo, Dubki, Shchelkanovo, Golyshovo, The old Sejm and Chernukha. According to the people in the video, when the mobile Internet is turned off, residents are completely deprived of access to the Network, and they have no alternative. Students can’t do their homework. Veterans of the war in Ukraine and large families who are allocated land in these villages remain without Internet.
“This is our last hope. Please help our villages with the installation and connection of fiber-optic Internet!” says the video message to the governor.
Massive mobile Internet outages in the Nizhny Novgorod region are allegedly related to security measures during drone attacks. The decision to restrict the operation of the Internet and communications is made by the security forces.
The last time, according to local media, the Internet in the region was turned off on Monday morning. The residents of Volodarsky district published their video message a day earlier. A direct line with the governor, who has not yet publicly responded, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25.
