At least 143 aerial bombs were dropped by Russia on its own and occupied territories in 2025


ASTRA learned about at least three more FAB bombs that “accidentally descended” from Russian aircraft in December. One of them fell on December 22 350 meters from a school in the occupied village of Tarasovka in the Luhansk region. A 250-kilogram unexploded bomb was found in a field, emergency sources said.

Another FAB-250 that accidentally fell was discovered on December 20, one and a half kilometers from the Belgorod village of Batratskaya Dacha, and 300 meters from the occupied village of Kommunar (Nizhnyaya Krynka) in the Donetsk region. In all cases, there were no casualties.

Thus, the editorial board of ASTRA became aware of at least 143 aerial bombs (135 fabs and 7 UMPB) and three missiles, fallen from Russian aircraft in the Russian Federation and in the occupied territories of Ukraine since the beginning of 2025. In 2024, at least 165 FAB bombs fell on these territories.

Russian aerial bomb attacks occur regularly. On December 6, as ASTRA found out, a Russian bomber dropped a bomb on Belgorod: the munition exploded at an apartment building on a distant lane. One person was injured. In addition, about 15 thousand residents were left without electricity. On December 12, the Russian Air Force dropped a half-ton aerial bomb on the territory of kindergarten No. 55 in In Belgorod, more than 1,800 people were evacuated from an educational institution and nearby houses.
