As it became known to ASTRA, in the Omsk region, a criminal case was opened against Vasily Bernikov, a participant in the war with Ukraine, under the article on the rape of a minor (Part 4, paragraph b, Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to sources, Bernikov raped his 12-year-old stepdaughter for the first time in the fall of 2024 at his home in the village of Berezyanka. After that, he repeatedly raped the child in a rented apartment in Omsk. This lasted until July 2025.
At the time of the criminal case, Bernikov was being treated in an Orenburg hospital. He had previously been convicted several times: for death threats, injury to health, beatings and torture. It is not known when he signed the contract and went to war.
The mother of the injured girl was previously registered as a dysfunctional parent — she was brought to administrative responsibility three times under Article 5.35 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (improper performance of parental duties).
