In June 2022, a former member of the Moscow Committee of the Libertarian Party of Russia (headed by Sergey Boyko) Ilya Shkolny arrived in Germany on a tourist visa.
Here, the 26-year-old young man was acquainted with German citizen Ansuela, who, together with her parents, took Ilya to Bamberg (Bavaria) to apply for political asylum.
Shkolny married Ansuela in April 2024 and enrolled in a master’s degree at Bayreuth University. Despite this, on March 11, 2026, he was detained by the police in Hof and placed in a pre-trial detention prison. This was stated by Ansuela in an interview with ASTRA.
