On the night of April 8, residents of Feodosia in the annexed Crimea reported explosions and a fire at a local oil depot. ASTRA analyzed the eyewitness footage that appeared online and came to the conclusion that the fiery glow over the city is visible in the area of the location of JSC Offshore Oil Terminal.

The first photo was taken from about 4.7 km away from the oil depot. 82A Chelnokova Street was captured in the frame.
The local authorities did not confirm the fire at the oil depot. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously stated that JSC Offshore Oil Terminal in the annexed Crimea is “a key hub for the supply of petroleum products by sea to the Crimean Peninsula and the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine.”
