Russian anti-war activist Roman Golikov, who was detained in Finland, is scheduled to be deported directly to Russia on May 28. The man reported this in a conversation with ASTRA from the police department.

According to him, the last court session approved the measure of restraint in the form of detention until deportation.
“The Supreme Court had 3 days – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – to stop the deportation, but they didn’t do it. The chances that they will suddenly do it next week are… well… sort of… zero,” said the activist.
On May 19, ASTRA wrote bout Golikov’s arrest – the police came to the man’s home in Finland and took him out of the shower. Earlier, he was refused asylum in the country, despite the fact that Golikov was an oppositionist back in Russia, donated to FBK after the organization was recognized as “extremist”, and actively spoke at pro-Ukrainian rallies in Finland. He left Russia in September 2022, a week before the mobilization.
