Daughter said her father was forced to marry unknown woman

A resident of St. Petersburg told Instagram that she accidentally found out about her father’s death in the war in Ukraine.

“Dad’s apartment has been broken into. The locks on the second door have been changed. I put him on the wanted list, and it turns out that Dad died from a wound at war. And he ended up married to an unknown woman. This wife said that Dad didn’t have any relatives, which is why we didn’t even attend the funeral. According to available information, she received 5 million for his death. It turned out that this is a whole business of receiving payments, where it is very difficult to prove something. For a whole year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee have not opened a criminal case or conducted an audit,” the publication says.

In a conversation with ASTRA, the daughter of the deceased clarified that at the time of the disappearance, her father lived in the Leningrad region, in the village of Annino, where he moved after his divorce from her mother due to alcoholism. According to her, she periodically had to pay off her father’s debts for the apartment. At the same time, his father worked for people who in 2024 persuaded him to sell an apartment significantly cheaper than the market value. After the intervention of relatives, the deal did not take place.

“His brother, my uncle, and I arrived. Dad was weird during the conversation. It was obvious that he had not been drinking, but his consciousness was clouded. It was as if he didn’t understand what was going on. They asked where he would continue to live. He said that he had been promised a job and a house in the Tula region. But he couldn’t even give an address,” recalls the daughter.

The daughter turned to the Interior Ministry in Annino, where she was assured that “scammers will no longer come to dad, because everything is written in the application.” The daughter was able to talk to the realtor who worked with her father once:

“I called her as a customer. She guessed who I was. Dad was constantly in touch with her and her friends. I think he worked as a driver for them. He wasn’t paid. He ate at their place. I think they might have given him something.”

In 2025, the daughter, returning to Russia, could not contact her father, which had happened before due to binge drinking. When she arrived in Annino, she saw a broken door. After contacting the Ministry of Internal Affairs, she learned that her father had died in Ukraine, where he served in the occupied Luhansk region (military unit 40463). The contract was signed in Rostov in December 2024, two days after his marriage to an unknown woman.

“I found out at the registry office that he died on his own. But he’s not the right age. He was 58 years old. Then I was told the details of his wife. She’s a year older than me! born in 1988,” says the daughter.

It was not possible to get comments from the realtor and ASTRA’s wife.

Father’s apartment was sold and is now “jointly owned by three people.”
“I want the scammers to be held responsible for my father’s death. He wasn’t going to be on his own. He wasn’t going to get married either. I am convinced that it was all done by violence. I want this information to reach Bastrykin and he will take personal control. A lot of people have written to me. I’m not the only one. I would like to raise this issue and figure out what’s going on,” added the daughter, who wants to challenge the sale of her father’s apartment.
