The man was arrested, abducted, and his apartment was broken into by the commandants.

Andrey Litvinov, a 54-year-old resident of Donetsk, occupied by the Russian Federation, worked as a miner, but in February 2022 he was mobilized without a military medical commission with a Ukrainian passport to the “people’s militia of the DPR” to participate in the war against Ukraine. He served in military unit 34428.
Andrey received an average salary of about 70,000 rubles until November 2022. On December 31 of the same year, he was dismissed from service due to the transfer of the armed forces of the “DPR” to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. However, the man was not allowed to go home, but he did not receive a salary either, since he no longer officially served in any army.
At the front, a man contracted Hepatitis B. In January 2023, Litvinov left the service on vacation, and then stayed at home. On April 10, he was declared a deserter (unauthorized abandonment of a unit).
According to Litvinov’s wife Lyudmila, on May 10, 2026, the door of their apartment in Donetsk was broken down by unknown people, and neighbors said that six months before the military came and asked where Litvinov was. Lyudmila filed a police report, but it did not give any result.
In May 2026, it was decided to terminate the criminal case against Litvinov, since he was officially dismissed from the army and had not signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
As Litvinov’s lawyer explained to ASTRA, due to erroneous information provided to the Army commander before the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the dismissed “DPR” soldiers were mistakenly enrolled in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation due to the indicative size of the army.
Despite this, on May 10, 2026, Litvinov was detained by the commandants. He is currently serving 15 km from the front in Novogrodovka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region, which has been captured by the Russian Federation.
