Conscript with a forged contract was held in unit for six months, promised dismissal

Emil Zhenishbekov, a 28-year-old conscript from Krasnoyarsk, who has been suing the Ministry of Defense for more than a year over a forged contract, was told that he would be sent to Ukraine in the near future.

After publication in April of this year, when the young man was already at the training ground in Chebarkul, before being sent to the front, Zhenishbekov was returned to the unit and promised to be fired soon — his military service ended on April 8.

As a result, he has been held in the unit for five months, and on August 24 he was called to headquarters and ordered to “write a report on a business trip.” According to him, after the refusal, the command drew up a kind of “act” stating that he refused to obey the order.

“They said that by refusing, I made it worse for myself. In case of refusal — a criminal case or a single deployment anyway. Nevertheless, I refused to write a report,” Zhenishbekov told ASTRA.

He added that at the same time he received “a document that confirms that the documents for dismissal were sent to the Central Military District.” At the same time, both parents and lawyers of the young man doubt that this will change anything after more than a year of trials with the Ministry of Defense.

Zhenishbekov was conscripted in April 2025 and sent to unit 98552 in Abakan. A week after arriving, the platoon commander suggested that those with a driver’s license switch to the driver’s position. The conscript agreed, after which he was taken to the headquarters and forced to write a report — as he believed, for transfer. A month later, he learned from one of the officers that he was registered as a contract employee, although, according to him, he had not signed any contracts.

An independent handwriting examination confirmed that the signature under the contract did not belong to him. However, the court recognized the document as authentic, based on the testimony of the command. The relatives filed an application for falsification.

Zhenishbekov even told the command that he was ready for a prison term for refusing to fight. Some of them ignored it.
